Volunteer/Internship


 

Palestine Fair Trade Association invites people from across the world to join in supporting Palestinian farmers and women producers to sustain their lives. Volunteer and internship opportunities are available year round for periods from two week and up to one year.


Internships can be arranged based on volunteer profession and work experience. Areas open for internship opportunities include organic farming, fair trade education, cooperative building, publicity and promotion, marketing, communication and proposal writing, education, accounting, information management, English teaching, and technical support. Interns only receive housing but are encourage to raise funds for their living expenses prior to their arrival. People may volunteer to work with a Palestinian family on a farm for a couple of weeks. Especially during the olive harvest, farmers can use extra hands. The olive harvest season usually spans from mid-October into December, and is usually an activity involving the whole family.  We invite you to join in this age old tradition of olive harvest by staying with a Palestinian host family.  Volunteers are welcome to stay anytime between one and two weeks.  PFTA will arrange for a host family and you should expect to be paired with one other volunteer (arrangements to stay at the same host family with friends will be considered.)  Your host family will provide you with food, but if you have any special dietary needs please be sure to mention them prior to your arrival. To apply to volunteer at a farm download the Volunteer Application and send it to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
